Pardon our dust!
In Janurary 2016 the Harmony House Inn welcomed new owners Gretchen and Tracy Du Peza. In the coming months the Inn will be going through many changes. We will remain open for buisness, however we will be undergoing renovations. We apologise in advance for any noise or other inconvience this may cause you during your stay. Please bear with us throughout this transitional phase. We thank you and appreciate your understanding.
Sincerely, The Du Pezas.

The Harmony House Inn is an 8,000 square foot, two-story home located in the heart of the historic district of New Bern, North Carolina. Four blocks from the historic Tryon Palace and one block from the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. This totally restored historic property has run as a successful Bed and Breakfast since 1985.

Harmony House is furnished with the unique blend of European, African, and American Art, locally handcrafted furniture, and antiques. The soft pastel colors of the walls set off the hard wood beds and colorful comforters. This unusually spacious house has seven guest rooms and two suites. All of these lovely appointed spacious rooms are filled with antiques, some reproductions done by local craft persons and historic memorabilia.

The inn offers a beautifully appointed Parlor for guests to gather. The Parlor has plenty of space for relaxing, reading, or enjoying conversation with other guests and the innkeepers.

All rooms
have the same first-class amenities: TV with cable, comfortable sitting chairs, a dresser, closet, and ceiling fans. All rooms include a bathroom with shower located in the room or suite.

Join us in the dining room for Breakfast where you can expect a varity of tastes from around the world, from traditional Swiss dishes to healthy renditions of classic American breakfasts. A different hot meal is provided everyday along with an assortment of bread, cheese, and meats, or cereal and fruit. A selection of tea is provided and always hot coffee.

The Harmony House Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to quaint shops, fine dining restaurants, and many historic New Bern sites. Brochures on local attractions and menus from area restaurants are available at the front desk; many within walking distance. The inn has long been a favorite overnight stop for bike tours and others from all over the country.
