The Inn has a very unique and unusual architectural feature. At the turn of the 20th century, after Eliza Ellis passed away, the house was left to two sons. There was apparently a family feud at the time and each heir wanted to occupy the house with his family. Rather than divide the space in an equitable way, they had the house sawed in half. One half of the house was moved nine feet, and a second hallway was built in the middle to join the two halves essentially turning the house into a duplex. Each family had their own entrance and stairway that led to the second floor. The dividing wall was solid further enhancing the brother's isolation from one another.
The Harmony House Inn offers 10 spacious guest rooms. Three rooms have King Sized Beds (one which can be separated to make two twin beds), six have Queen Sized beds and one has two Twin beds. Four rooms are on the first floor; six rooms are on the second floor.
